Sandwich ARTISTAS
BLACK MAMBA sandwich artista.
Hailing from Canada, The Bahamas and many places in between, Black Mamba’s appreciation for food and culture began in the womb. From Atwater Market in Montreal to Blueberry Hill in Maine to the first Trader Joe’s in California, Miss Mamba’s unique, rambunctious childhood has exposed her not only to eclectic epicurean delights but also to the politics and history of the industry. “I like to think about the life of food, how it is a living thing. I like to think about how it is grown, the people who tended to it and how it gets to you. A dish’s cultural heritage fascinates me, like Puttanesca or Green Goddess Sauce for instance. Only when you really take the time to understand all this can you then coax a dish into its fullest expression.”
When she’s not concocting crazy sandwich combinations, Miss Mamba enjoys the pursuits and pleasures of life … running by the sea, sharing good books, enjoying a glass of wine with jazz music and good company and taking photographs of things that don’t move. She’s a classic hopeless romantic and truly stands by her mantra: “Paths that cross will cross again.”

ANITA BONITA sandwich artista.
Anita Bonita is a native New Yorker who knows a good “sangwich” period. From Upstate Organic cafes to Brooklyn Italian delis - she has had the best of em’. At Bocadillo Clandestino, she will ensure that every sandwich is filled generously and prepared fresh. No soggy-bread-grilled-chicken-wrap-bullsh*t! Bonita is ecstatic to show SOBE a “real deal” sandwich. Let the slingin’ begin my friends!
When she’s not out slingin’, Anita enjoys simple pleasures … cooking meals for friends and family, soaking up the sun and cruising around on her bicycle with the Italian Stallion. She’s got a zest for life and love and truly stands by her mantra: “Live by the Sun, Love by the Moon.”

ITALIAN STALLION sandwich critic.
Our Italian Stallion hails from The Old Country - a.k.a. Italia. This SOBE tri-lingual local lives to eat! Being linked to Black Mamba and Anita Bonita makes him a pretty lucky guy (according to him at least). In a nutshell, we’ve named the Stallion our official Bocadillo Clandestino critic. And believe us when we say, he’s not the easiest guy to please. So when you see him with two thumbs up and a mouth full, it means, “I gotta eat good in my hood, so keep the delicious eats coming … I spit the truth! Ya heard!”
Hmmmm. When the Stallion’s not stuffing his face with our slammin’ bocadillos, you can find him lampin’ on the beach with his girl Anita Bonita, scolding Black Mamba for not taking her shoes off before entering his spotless abode or wringing it out at the Green Monkey. He’s a man of his word with a heart of gold and the most contagious laugh you’ve ever heard. Not to mention the master mind behind Domus Construction, Inc.
